We currently have metal nosing on the top step that leads into a river. We offer canoes and kayaks and the metal wears quickly with the vessels being drug up the stairs back into their loading racks. After the metal wears it becomes a hazard for people especially when they are barefooted. Since everyone would be wet could we use the fiberglass nosing for wear and slip resistance?
Hi Charles,
Thank you for your question. Our fiberglass products are a perfect solution for your applications. In fact, this product is used at many oil rigging operations at sea.

Hello!
We own a restaurant and our back stairs are metal, but the treads have worn down and they are coming loose and becoming dangerous. Grip tape keeps coming off. I was wondering if these fiberglass treads would be a good replacement. The stairs receive heavy deliveries - multiple kegs and 100s of pounds of food product on hand carts daily and I was wondering if they would handle the weight of these carts coming down hard one stair at a time. Thanks for your help!
Mandy
Hi Mandy Franklin Fass & Craig Fass,
Thank you for your question. Normally yes these fiberglass stair treads could handle the weight. However, since you said the weight of the carts coming down hard on the treads, we would recommend this product. A781 Metal Stair Treads, please copy and paste this link to view.

Thank you for your question. Yes, these for sure will hold up to oil and grease, as they are commonly used on Oil Rigs.

We have just installed a new recycling compactor here at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport next to our trash compactor. A new loading dock platform (8’W x 11’2”L) has been built and installed for use by our custodial division to load the 2 compactors with trash and recyclables from our concourses. The dock was made with 3/4” marine plywood but we are looking to cover it with a protective cover for safety and preservation. Our total surface area is 66 square feet. I am trying to get an estimate of these FiberGlass Stair Treads & Nosing to be purchased for use. If you could please send the cost of manufacture, delivery and cutting on-site (if needed) to this email address, that would be greatly appreciated. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
